CDT Spring Colloquium 2024

University College Cork was delighted to host the CDT Spring Colloquium on the 20th and 21st May 2024. There was a great turn out with students and supervisors from all the universities associated with the CDT. 

On Day one of the event, our 2020 cohort delivered their final year presentations. The students performed very well in presenting the findings from their PhD research and in fielding questions from the audience. Day 1 was concluded with an enjoyable cruise of the Cork Harbour.

On Day two, our third year students presented posters and second year students delivered flash presentations on their research. We also had the Founder and CEO of ArrayPatch, Dr Waleed Faisal, deliver a talk on his journey to establishing the ArrayPatch spin-out of UCC.

The event concluded with prizes for best final year presentation, best flash presentation and best poster. The best final year presentation prizes were awarded to Emily Atkinson, UCL and Colm O’Reilly, University of Oxford, the best poster was awarded to Victoria Chris, University of Oxford, and the best flash presentation awards went to Ozde Oztekiner, UCL and Iqra Hassan, UCL.
