Science in the Park Returns for 2022!

After a short, covid induced hiatus, Nottingham's Science in the Park event returned to Wollaton Hall on the 5th March 2022. The day aimed to introduce children to some of the science and research that goes on in Nottingham, by providing an opportunity for participants to try their hands at demos from a wide variety of disciplines to get them excited about science.

Volunteers from the 2022 and 2021 cohorts of the CDT in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies, spent the day delivering a pair of activities for visitors, introducing them to the worlds of pharmacy and medicine. Activities included "Targeting Medicine" to introduce participants to the difficulties of selectively targeting specific diseases as well as an insight into formulation through the "Making Medicines" task.
